Earlier this month, Soundarya Rajinikanth has been honoured with the
announcement of being selected as the brand ambassador of Animals
welfare board of India.
Now the pro-jallikattu outfits have
started to protest against Soundarya joining the organisation which is
responsible for banning Jallikattu in Tamilnadu. The "Tamizhar Veera
Vilayattu Meetpu Kazhagam" staged a protest in Trichy, and they have
burnt the effigy and photos of Soundarya.
Meanwhile, the statement
from Soundarya says that she has been appointed to AWBI to ensure the
safety of animals used in Films. She will be monitoring the use of
graphics instead of real animals in the films.
