As the tension
between Tamilnadu and Karnataka has mounted due to Cauvery water row,
Dhanush's next release Thodari wont release as expected. Thodari is the
second big film getting affected after Vikram's Irumugan.
Dhanush
has good number of fans in Karnataka and the release rights were sold to
Maheshwari Enterprises for a good sum. But now the distributor may face
huge loss due to the Cauvery issue.
The theaters are not ready to
screen the film fearing attacks from the protestors. Also, the Telugu
dubbed version of the film titled as 'Rail' too, will not release in the
Kannada speaking state.
