Metro is a Tamil Action Thriller and Drama 2016 film featuring
Shirish Saravanan, Bobby Simha, Sendrayan, Yogi Babu. The Metro movie is
written and directed by Ananda Krishnan and which is produced by Jaya
Krishnan, Anandakrishnan.
The movie is inspired by a real-life
incident and throws light on the modus operandi of chain snatchers. It
also tries to explore the psyche of modern-day criminals and their
motives for turning to crime. The story of the movie is narrated with
two important characters, Arivu (Shirish), a student, and Madhi (Satya),
a journalist, who are the sons of a retired cop.
Madhi is in love
with a girl played by Maya, who wants him to have an expensive mobile
and a bike. As his family could not afford it, he decides to commit a
crime. The remaining part of the story is about how this affects his
family and the way a journalist wages war against the organised crime.
Performances
Newcomer
Sathya gets the maximum screen space and the actor has used his
opportunity in a convincing manner. However, his act in some of the
scenes might make you wonder if the director has entrusted him with a
role, which is a tad too meaty for his skills. Shirish comes up with a
commendable performance. But, his transformation from being a
responsible person to a powerful hero, is unconvincing. Bobby Simha has
delivered one of his best performances. His dialogue delivery too, is
sharp and adds to the engaging factor.
